The organizer of MIMS is the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro, one of the faculties within the University of Montenegro, the oldest higher education institution in Montenegro.

At the Faculty of Medicine, several study programs are carried out: medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, applied physiotherapy and high medical school, as well as doctoral studies and specializations for medical workers.

In order to carry out theoretical teaching, the faculty spatially disposes of two modernly equipped buildings, amphitheatres, auditoriums, laboratories, computer rooms, premises for preclinical subjects. Lectures from clinical subjects are carried out in the faculty's teaching bases.
